ERBIL, Iraq
- Flyerbil Airlines has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, the carrier said on 22 October 2026.
- The Kurdistan-based airline described the certificate as the result of years of work and a step toward expanding scheduled services from its main base.

- Flyerbil was founded in 2015 and began commercial operations in 2018 albeit as a virtual carrier using chartered in capacity. Changes in Iraqi Civil Aviation Regulations have since curbed such activities, requiring airlines to operate at least one aircraft in-house.
- The airline said it intends to widen its network to additional Iraqi cities and regional and international points while aligning services with international standards.
- Recent fleet activity includes the addition of Airbus A320-200 (MSN 3460 | YI-EBL), which joined the carrier in October 2026.
