ERBIL, Iraq
- Flyerbil is planning to resume commercial flight operations following the acquisition of an A320-200.
- Flight trackers show A320-200 (MSN 3460 | YI-EBL) was ferried from Istanbul to Erbil on 9 October after which it carried out what are presumed to be certification flights between Erbil and Baghdad as well as to Amman, Jordan on 16/17 October.

- Based on its October 2026 publicity, Flyerbil plans to operate a heavily Germany-centric network out of its Erbil base, serving Düsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hannover, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Munich.
- Beyond Germany, it plans to serve Turkey (Istanbul), the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Denmark (Copenhagen), and the United Kingdom (London).
- How it proposes to do so using YI-EBL is uncertain given the fact no Iraqi-registered aircraft are currently able to run scheduled flights to the European Union. As such, the schedule implies the use of aircraft wet-leased from a third party with a European AOC or at least a TCO. Flyerbil, in its previous incarnations, chartered in capacity for EU flights from European ACMI operators such as Jonika Airlines, GetJet Airlines, UR Airlines, and BH Air.
- Government records show Fly Erbil Airlines Limited was registered on 9 July 2015 in Erbil with a capital of IQD 10 billion (USD 6.6 million). Lawand Jamal Mustafa Mamondi held IQD 5.5 billion (USD 3.6 million) and was listed as Authorised Manager. Sarkaft Hashyar Mahmoud Muhammad Zebari held the remaining IQD 4.5 billion (USD 3.0 million).
- However, an Erbil Aviation Limited was registered on 26 November 2025 with the same IQD 10 billion capital (USD 6.6 million). Lawand Jamal Mustafa Mamondi is the sole contributor. The filing appears to restructure the original Flyerbil entity under the same controlling shareholder.
- Mamondy is also a "Consultant/Administrator" on the board of Greek ACMI/charter carrier Kapajet, the company's Greek government records show. The airline is not currently operational although YI-EBL was previously registered to it as SX-EBL.
