SOMALIA: Ziyaara Air Adds Chartered Let L-410 Ahead of Launch

MOGADISHU, Somalia Ziyaara Air Let L-410 Turbolet TL-AEE landed at Mogadishu (MGQ/HCMM) for the first time and received a water salute.

MOGADISHU, Somalia

Ziyaara Air has chartered a Let L-410 Turbolet (MSN 902501 ¦ TL-AEE) from Central African carrier MinAir. The 36-year-old turboprop landed at Mogadishu (MGQ/HCMM) on 6 October.
Tawakal Travel & General Services says the start-up will offer 2x weekly flights from Mogadishu to El Barde, a town in the southwestern Somali region of Bakool, effective 10 October.

Government records show the virtual carrier was incorporated in August this year.

MOGADISHU, Somalia: IATA signed a memorandum of understanding with the Somali Ministry of Civil Aviation wherein Mogadishu will recognize the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO).
