AMMAN, Jordan

  • Air Arabia launches four weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport (ADJ) on 15 November 2026.
  • The service marks the second airport in the Jordanian capital served by Air Arabia from Sharjah and complements existing flights to Amman Queen Alia International Airport (AMM).
  • Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali said the launch gives customers access to a second airport in the capital and enhances travel options between the UAE and Jordan.
  • Air Arabia already operates non-stop flights from Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, plus services from Alexandria International Airport, in Egypt, to Amman City Airport.
  • Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
  • Originally closed to civilian traffic on Amman Queen Alia's opening in 2013, ADJ was reopened in 2025 following the expiration of an exclusivity clause on AMM's passenger traffic. ADJ is located 5 kilometres northeast of Amman's city centre allowing it to offer better travel convenience over AMM which is 30 kilometers south of Amman. ADJ currently sees scheduled traffic from Royal Jordanian, Air Cairo, flynas, and Jazeera Airways.
