DUBAI, United Arab Emirates

- The UAE's Dubai National Air Travel Agency, dnata, says it has committed AED 175 million UAE dirhams (USD 47.6 million) for new ground support equipment in the UAE since the start of the year.
- The investment covers more than 340 new assets for fleet renewal and added capacity.
- dnata operates approximately 2,800 motorised ground support equipment assets at Dubai International and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International.
- The programme prioritises equipment with enhanced safety features, technology and greater aircraft pushback and towing capability.
- Nabil Sultan Al Murr, Group Chief Executive Officer at dnata, said fleet planning must stay years ahead of demand to support growth and resilience.
- dnata is advancing automated aircraft docking systems and 3D printing for selected components.
- Beyond the UAE, dnata operates approximately 4,700 motorised ground support equipment assets at 86 airports worldwide.
- In the 2025-26 financial year dnata handled more than 888,000 aircraft turns and processed 3.2 million tonnes of cargo globally.
