SUDAN: Arab Academy and Sudan Airways Sign MoU to Support Rehabilitation of Sudanair Academy

PORT SUDAN, Sudan

  • Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Sudan Airways signed an MoU to support rehabilitation of Sudanair Academy, enhance training and qualification programmes, and cooperate on development plans and strategies.
  • Signing took place during a ceremony honouring academy president Dr Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar Ismail under the patronage of Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Seif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun.
  • MoU was signed by Dr Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar Ismail for the academy and Captain Mazen Ahmed Al-Awad, Sudanair general manager.
  • Ceremony was attended by Red Sea State Wali, Sea Ports Corporation director general, ambassadors and university vice-chancellors.
  • Minister stressed the need to translate the MoU into practical programmes to develop personnel and transport institutions.
  • AASTMT is a regional university operated by the League of Arab States. Established in 1972 it is headquartered in Alexandria, Egypt.
