JUBA, South Sudan

- President Salva Kiir Mayardit has removed Dr. Ayiei Garang Deng as Director General of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority and appointed Mosety Kat Monyngok in his place.
- Kiir dissolved the transitional government and appointed a caretaker administration ahead of South Sudan's December 22 general elections.
- Undersecretary in the Ministry of Transport, Paul Dhel Gum, was appointed Acting Minister of Transport.
- Kiir relieved First Vice President Riek Machar Teny and vice presidents James Wani Igga, Taban Deng Gai, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol and Rebecca Nyandeng Garang.
