# SAUDI ARABIA: One Killed, Eight Injured in Houthi Attack on Dammam's King Fahd Airport

DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia

- One person was killed and eight injured in a Houthi attack on Dammam King Fahd International Airport (DMM/OEDF).
- The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) stated that all wounded, with injuries ranging from minor to critical, were taken to hospitals.
- FlyAden confirmed one of its passengers was injured by shrapnel on flight DH 210's arrival at the airport.
- FlyAden is inspecting the aircraft, A320-200 (MSN 6474 | 7O-QAA), and has therefore cancelled its return sector.
- As of 0800L (0500Z), no NOTAM has been issued affecting OEDF's operations.
- Earlier the same day, two people were killed when Saudi air defences intercepted a drone targeting a Saudi Aramco facility at the Shaybah oilfield.
- The attacks form part of a series on Saudi airports amid conflict between Houthi forces and the Saudi-backed Yemeni government.
- A projectile strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on October 11 killed one and injured 11.
- A separate attack on the same airport on October 10 killed 12 and injured more than 300.
- The US State Department has meanwhile ordered diplomats and family members to depart US missions in Saudi Arabia.
- The US embassy in Riyadh issued a security alert on possible further Houthi attacks.
