# OMAN: Oman Aviation Academy Wins GCAA Nod To Train Air Arabia Cadets

MUSCAT, Oman

- Oman Aviation Academy received UAE GCAA certification to train Air Arabia Academy cadets from Sharjah.
- The approval implements a 2026 training agreement and allows MPL cadet training at Sohar.
- OAA is a flight-training organisation at Sohar Airport with ATO approvals from Oman CAA and EASA.
- Fleet: Diamond DA40 NG, Diamond DA42 NG and Pipistrel Virus SW121A.
- Simulators: Boeing 737 MAX FNPT II MCC/FTD-1, DA42 FNPT II MEP, DA40 FNPT II SEP, plus VR devices.
- Air Arabia Academy is the Sharjah training arm of Air Arabia. It runs GCAA-approved MPL, plus dispatcher, engineering, language assessment and simulator work.
- That pipeline has put more than 800 cadets through and more than 500 graduates onto Air Arabia.
