MUSCAT, Oman

- The Oman Civil Aviation Authority (OCAA) and Indonesia’s GMF AeroAsia signed a 20-year concession agreement for the operation and management of aircraft maintenance facilities at Muscat International Airport.
- H.E. Eng. Naif bin Ali Al-Abri, President of the Civil Aviation Authority, and Andy Fahrurrozi, Chief Executive Officer of GMF AeroAsia, signed the agreement on 5 October 2026 on the sidelines of the Civil Aviation Investment Forum in Muscat.
- The agreement will provide heavy maintenance and periodic inspection services for national, regional and international airline fleets.
- The deal will transform Muscat International Airport into an integrated regional hub for aviation maintenance by leveraging Oman’s strategic location and will transfer knowledge and technologies in airframe, engine and avionics maintenance.
- PT GMF AeroAsia Tbk holds maintenance certifications from over 25 international aviation authorities, including the FAA (USA), EASA (Europe), UK CAA, CASA (Australia), and Indonesia’s DGCA, alongside defense approvals like ADARS and AMARS. Its certified capabilities span the Airbus A320, A330, and A400M lines; Boeing 737, 747, 777, and 787 series; ATR 72 turboprops; and defense platforms such as the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.
