NIGERIA: Etihad Airways and Ibom Air sign interline agreement

- Etihad Airways and Ibom Air signed an interline agreement.
- The agreement lets Etihad passengers connect from Lagos or Accra to Abuja, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Calabar, and Enugu on a single ticket once Etihad services begin.
- Connections also operate between Accra and Abuja as well as Accra and Uyo.
- Bags check through to the final destination.
- Etihad launches daily Abu Dhabi-Lagos flights on 23 March 2027 and four weekly Abu Dhabi-Accra flights on 24 March 2027.
- Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said Nigeria sits at the centre of long-term African ambitions and the partnership places connections ahead of the March 2027 launch.
- George Uriesi, Ibom Air Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said the deal advances world-class regional status and positions Ibom Air as the key connector for Etihad into Nigeria and Ghana.
- Tickets combining both networks go on sale from 3 November.
