FRANKFURT, Germany

- Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al-Ali has ruled out using the A321XLR for transatlantic flights from Morocco
- The Airbus A321XLR places the US East Coast within range of the carrier's Moroccan subsidiary, Air Arabia Maroc, from Casablanca.
- Al-Ali stated that transatlantic operations remain outside current plans despite the 4,700 NM range.
- However, Sharjah-based parent Air Arabia expects the A321XLR to add 45 minutes of range over the A321LR for Southeast Asia routes such as Jakarta and Hong Kong.
- The type will also improve payload on existing long sectors including London.
- Air Arabia has no plans to introduce widebody aircraft.
- The carrier operates a 120-aircraft Airbus A320neo family order placed in 2019\. The UAE-based AOC operates six A321LRs with 20 XLRs due from 2027.
- Air Arabia Maroc's current network focuses on the European market serving Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, as well as Turkey. Its fleet entails ten A320-200s.
