KUWAIT: Tender Board Sets September 28 Talks With Shortlisted Companies For Airport Terminal 2 Contract

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait

• Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) scheduled a 28 September negotiation session with the two bidders that passed technical evaluation for the Terminal 2 (T2) operation and management contract at Kuwait International Airport.
• Turkish consortium of TAV Airports Holding and Limak Construction plus South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Corporation are the shortlisted parties.
• Contract covers T2 and aircraft apron operations, management, maintenance, development and training services improvement.
• Terminal 2 will feature a 504,257 m² building to serve as the premier gateway to the State of Kuwait. Replacing the existing terminal, the facility will handle up to 25 million passengers annually. The infrastructure includes a basement, ground floor, and two upper levels. It features adjacent taxiways and aprons. Multi-storey car parks provide at least 4,500 spaces. The terminal offers 28 gates, including 8 gates for Airbus A380-sized aircraft. It also includes a 400-bed transit hotel.
