KUWAIT: Jazeera Airways Confirms Hub Operations Postponed at the Request of CAA
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait
- Jazeera Airways has confirmed it has postponed activation of transit passenger services at Kuwait International Airport T5 at the request of the Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority.
- The carrier, which had earlier claimed transit flights through Kuwait would resume from October 1, apologized to affected passengers and offered full ticket refunds or fee-free rebooking.
- Other airlines operating in GCC states and the region resumed transit services gradually from March 2026 and reached full resumption.
- Jazeera stated that resumption of transit flights via Kuwait would serve passengers, support served markets and enhance regional and international connectivity.
- The airline said it will maintain close coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority to complete preparations for resumption of hub operations at T5.
- Jazeera will announce the resumption date once determined.
