# JORDAN: Jordan Aviation Looks To Grow Fleet, Headcount

AMMAN, Jordan

Jordan Aviation is hiring and adding more aircraft.

- Capt. Mohammad Al-Khashman, chairman of the Jordan Aviation Group, said the private carrier is taking on about 100 specialist and vocational roles in October and November, bringing staff toward roughly 1,000\. He was speaking as CARC chairman Capt. Daifallah Al-Farajat toured the airline’s operations and maintenance site.
- Khashman said Airbus aircraft are already back in service and **four more aircraft** are due before year-end, with extra scheduled routes to be announced in the same window.
- Jordan Aviation operates a fleet of two A320-200s, two A330-200s, two 737-300s, and a single 767-200\. It recently acquired two more A320-200s, (MSN 2743 ¦ JY-JAM) and (MSN 2950 ¦ JY-JAZ), both around 20 years old and last in service with Amelia in France. Privately-owned carrier has never placed a direct order with any OEM, as such the added aircraft are assumed to come from the after-market.
- Jordan Aviation operates both scheduled passenger as well as ACMI/charter flights. Its scheduled network operates from Amman Queen Alia to destinations in Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, the UAE, and Kuwait. It already possesses a European and UK TCO enabling it to offer European Union and UK flights. It was also granted a US foreign air carrier permit in 2021 enabling flights to the United States. However, the permit has never been exercised.
