AMMAN, Jordan

- On 14 October 2026, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) published CZIB-2026-08-R3, extending validity until 16 November 2026 and revising content/recommendations to reflect a changed risk level covering the entire Amman, Jordan FIR (OJAC) at all altitudes and flight levels.
- Applies to EU operators (Commission Regulation (EU) 965/2012) and EASA-authorised third-country operators on EU operations.
- Regional situation remains volatile due to the US–Iran military conflict; previous calm periods have been followed by renewed attacks with little warning.
- No reported kinetic military activity affecting Jordanian airspace since 9 September 2026, indicating improvement, but underlying risk factors persist and escalation could rapidly raise risks (misidentification, missile overflights, interception, debris).
- Jordanian authorities have issued no conflict-related airspace restrictions, route closures or advisories; operators must maintain contingency arrangements and be ready for tactical deconfliction.
- Recommendations (no longer an avoidance advice):Take potential risks into account when operating in the affected airspace.Ensure an up-to-date risk assessment and high-level contingency planning are in place, and be ready for short-notice instructions from State authorities.Closely monitor regional airspace developments and follow all aeronautical publications, including the European Information Sharing and Cooperation Platform on Conflict Zones, plus national authority guidance.
- EASA will continue close monitoring; bulletin valid until 16 November 2026 unless reviewed earlier.
