TEL AVIV, Israel
- El Al Israel Airlines and Doral Group Renewable Energy Sources join the Tel Aviv 35 index for the first time.
- The semi-annual index update takes effect in November.
- The Tel Aviv 35 contained 36 stocks after Palo Alto Networks joined in August.
- El Al qualified with an average market cap of NIS 11.05 billion new Israeli shekels (USD 3.58 billion).
- As of October 16, 2026, El Al's shares traded at NIS 18.51 (USD 6.00) per share, a +33.45% increase since the start of the war with Iran in June 2025. Shareholders have been quick to buy El Al stock given the impact of the war wherein the majority of foreign carriers deserted Israel, leaving El Al, Arkia, and Israir with brief periods of oligopoly.
- However, the carriers have also had to contend with soaring fuel prices and insurance premiums.
- On a Year-to-Date (YTD), El Al's share price has appreciated +12.11% this year.
- Index changes take effect on November 5 and trigger large ETF trading volumes.
