EGYPT: EgyptAir Receives EGP350mn In State Support in 1H2026

CAIRO, Egypt

EgyptAir received EGP 350 million (USD 6.7 million) in direct financial support from the government as part of the Egyptian Export Development Fund's export subsidy package.
The Export Development Fund disbursed EGP 19.37 billion (USD 370.7 million) in the first half of 2026 to support exporters and settle dues.
The disbursements included EGP 7.28 billion (USD 139.3 million) for immediate payment of dues prior to July 1 2024 to 1,970 companies plus EGP 3.9 billion (USD 74.6 million) via electronic clearing with taxes, customs and insurance.
