CAIRO, Egypt

  • EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering passed European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) inspection and renewed accreditation at its Cairo International Airport headquarters plus Luxor and Hurghada stations.
  • The renewal supports the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation's strategy to maintain international accreditations and expand technical services.
  • Inspection covered headquarters, stations, engine overhaul complex, maintenance hangars, mechanical unit overhaul complex and technical warehouse complex.
  • Audit examined aircraft records, procedures, work environment, manufacturer compliance and crew competence.
  • EASA conducts periodic audits to verify that approved Part-145 (or equivalent third-country) maintenance organisations continue to meet the required standards for safety, quality systems, personnel competence, and procedures. Successful completion allows the organisation to keep performing EASA-approved maintenance work for European and other international customers.
  • Egyptair M&E holds both EASA Part 145 and 147 accreditation.
