ALGIERS, Algeria

- Algeria's Ministry of Finance assured international airlines that mechanisms for transferring revenues earned in Algeria abroad are available and fast.
- Ministry of Finance stated that banks now process complete transfer requests within 24 hours.
- IATA reported in December 2025 that Algeria lead the list of countries with unremitted funds with USD 307 million, citing new Ministry of Trade approval requirements.
- Banque d'Algérie requires detailed documentation for all foreign exchange movements due to volatility in global hydrocarbon markets. However, forex revenues have grown with oil trading at around USD100 per barrel on average since the onset of the US-Iran war.
